One of our big enjoyments at Countryside Montessori Day School is getting the chance to work with your children from infants to 6 years of age.  We get the chance to experience the joy of helping and seeing how much they have grown into their own person.

Getting ready for kindergarten

Countryside Montessori Day School in Kansas City, MO has established an idyllic environment for primary education in children aged 3 to 6 years old. Using the world-renowned Montessori method of teaching, our certified educators emphasize early learning and development of personal strengths and interests, while continuing the growth of their intellectual and social skills.

  • Practical life - developing physical coordination, care of self and care of the environment

  • Sensorial intelligence - activities and exercises in experiencing the natural order of the physical environment, size, color, shape and dimension, hand-eye coordination

  • Math language - basic concepts of numeration, place value, addition, subtraction, division and multiplication, logic development

  • Music - appreciation, listening, dancing, singing

  • Art – free drawing, projects with self-expression, cutting, gluing, and arts and crafts

  • Sciences - geography, botany, life and physical science

  • Language – everything is done phonetically, learning to read, book emphasis, handwriting skills, Spanish lessons, and sign language
